Fastimes Indoor Karting Indianapolis, IN "Stand Up For Cancer" Race Tomorrow
Facility NewsThe "JMV Grand Prix" benefiting "Stand Up To Cancer" is this Saturday from noon until 5pm at Fastimes Indoor Karting Center in Indianapolis (3455 Harper Road). Registration begins at 11 am. The event is hosted by 1070 The Fan, the flagship radio station of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and afternoon host JMV (John Michael Vincent). Tickets to participate are available for $100 at www.ftik.com, with proceeds benefiting "Stand Up To Cancer." Tickets will also be available at the door for $120.

Ticket holders will receive at least two races that include at least one IndyCar driver or local celebrity. Plus, food from Sullivan's Steakhouse and beer from Cutter's Brewery. Autographs and photo opportunities are also available. The top 6 times from the day qualify for a championship race that also includes two of the pro drivers or celebrities. First, second, and third place will receive Indycar gear trophies and possible other goodies.

Among those expected to attend: Alex Tagliani, Conor Daly, Pippa Mann, Stefan Wilson, AJ Foyt IV, JMV, Kevin Lee of NBCSN and 1070 The Fan, Dillon Welch (midget driver), and Dave Furst of RTV-6 and IMS Radio as well as several Colts cheerleaders and Indiana Pacers Pacemates.

JMV and Kevin Lee will host Q&A sessions throughout the event with the participants. A silent auction is also planned with racing related items including autographed/framed Dario Franchitti & Scott Dixon items and much much more! The event is open to non-ticket holders (food and beverage not included) and individual races at regular rates, benefiting "Stand Up To Cancer" may be available, time permitting.

The event is in memory of Roger Wethington, the creator, designer, and builder of Fastimes Indoor Karting, who was a victim of cancer.
