Significant Race Time Added To 2010 IKWC
Racing NewsAdditional Races Added To The 2010 IKWC Format

A significant new development has just been added to the format at this years Indoor Kart World Championship being held at F1 Race Factory in Phoenix, AZ.

July 27th - August 1st 2010

The new proposed format would include 2 more 30 minute races, for a total of 9 races.
All drivers would drive at least 4.75 hours, and those who qualify for the Final drive 5.5 hours total.

That is a major increase in driving time (used to be 3 hours and 4.5 hours).

The schedule for the weeks events with the added races is below :

Tue July 27
Drivers Meeting & Weigh-in (1pm)
Qualifying IKWC Race 1 - Track 1 Counterclockwise (3pm)
Nations Cup race (7pm)

Wed July 28 - Doors open 9:30am. First race starts 11am.
Race 1 (30 min) Track 1 Counter-clockwise (all drivers)
Race 2 (30 min) Track 2 Clockwise (all drivers)

Thu July 29 - Doors open 9:30am. First race starts 11am.
Race 3 (30 min) Track 1 Clockwise (all drivers)
Race 4 (30 min) Track 2 Counter-clockwise (all drivers)

Fri July 30 - Doors open 9:30am. First race starts 11am.
Race 5 (30 min) Track 1 Counter-clockwise (all drivers)
Race 6 (30 min) Track 2 Clockwise (all drivers)

Sat July 31 - Doors open 9:30am. First race starts 11am.
Race 7 (60 min) Big Track Counter-clockwise (all drivers)

Sun Aug 1 - Doors open 9:30am. First race starts 11am.
Race 8 (45 min) Big Track Clockwise (all drivers)
Race 9 (45 min) Big Track Counter-clockwise (Top 25 drivers only)
